Starting with Microsoft Edge 132, many of the browser’s most important features, such as Downloads, Drop, History, and the inPrivate new tab experience are now a lot faster.
In fact, no less than 14 different areas of the user interface throughout the browser are now 40% faster than before, on average. (This includes Favorites and Browser Essentials, which we had already mentioned in our earlier blog post: An even faster Microsoft Edge.)
These improvements are all made possible thanks to our effort to migrate the browser UI to WebUI 2.0, our markup-first architecture that minimizes the size of our code bundles, and the amount of JavaScript code that runs during the initialization of the UI.
